That’s simply beautiful!! Look at all those perfect stitches, so very talented!

Very nice. I too enjoy doing wool applique but have only just started it and have only completed a few small things. Still in the acquisition stage of felted wool. I have had zero luck with wool clothes that are labeled dry clean only from thrift stores, they just don't felt for me. So now when I come across felted wool bundles at shows I pick up a few. I have found that I really like embellishing it with decorative hand embroidery stitches too, like Sue Spargo does, it really bumps it up a notch and feeds my thread addiction with all her pretty embroidery threads that Wonderfil makes.

So perfect. This quilt looks like it could have been made by colonial women.:o

Beautiful... a couple of questions...are you going to use this quilt or display it only? if you're using it, did you pre-wash your flannel to take care of the shrinkage? If not, will the quilt be ruined when washed because of the the flannel and wool combo shrinking?
I really love these quilts but am not interested in losing all that stitching if it is going to be ruined....and I love quilts that I can use. Thanks in advance. I've been wondering about these things and haven't found all the answers yet in a single place. |

So very beautiful! This past weekend I attended a quilt show in Montrose, Colorado which had wonderful quilts. They had a presentation by some of their members on wool applique. It is so intriguing and I am tempted to give it a try. Your lovely piece just adds to that temptation.
