string quilt donation to Christ Child Society
1 Attachment(s)
Using up scraps, first string quilt I made. Practiced free motion feathers using my ds before I had my long arm. Donated to the Christ Child Society and the layette program. Used in their auction fundraiser.

lots of bright happy colours |
Bright and cheery!

I love string quilts!
|
Another great quilt ... you have a warm heart!

Very, very pretty. Question: What did you use for your backing? I've tried paper, but it is a pain to remove. Someone suggested muslin, but wouldn't that really shrink when the quilt was washed, thus causing distortion. If washing the muslin before, it's very unruly. Suggestions?

I hope it made a lot of money in the fundraiser.
