Here is a string quilt I started last night, it's 9 1/2" blocks and so far it's 6 blocks across by 3 down. Just doing scrappy 30's.
Love the quilt idea... is the navy stripe the only fabric that will be on every piece? important to match that one up exactly..you did it well.. |
Love it! I like '30 prints and love the way you are using that blue strip to frame them.

That is going to be pretty, makes me think of my Grandmother.

I made one like this. I did mine all in reds and pinks. I started it early in January of this year. It was to be done and out for Valentine's Day. I quilted finally in November. It is now waiting for binding. It is really big. I cut a bunch of fabric before I started. I cut so much the quilt wound up being 110" x 98" Sheesh it is big and very heavy! I will post a picture when I finally finish it.

I love it. I love string quilts, and I love repo fabrics.

Love the scrappy look. Great job!

Not sure how big this one will be but as big as the purple strips will allow. I will post pictures on this board as I go along. Thanks everyone.

Love string quilts - Yours is going to be beautiful. Really like the blue string in the middle.

I saw the beginning of your quilt and it is beautiful! Will enjoy seeing the finished product. I have seen the term "string quilt", but I have no idea what it means! Can you explain it to me? Your help would be great, I'd like to try this. Thanks in advance.
