I have been searching the web for 3 1/2 inch non-thermal paper. It seems most calculators are 2 1/4. I know I can cut my own strip say From telephone books but it would be nice to have a continuous roll. Any help would be appreciated

This place seems to have some 3" and 3 1/4". At a quick look I didn't see any 3 1/2" but you might want to look closer.

How are you using these strips of paper in your blocks?

this time of the year back to school supplies are all on sale. Pocket tablets are 3" and have lots of pages. that is what I used when I was away from home for 3 years. I left the two end pieces overhanging the paper. I've also cut down tablet paper. I've never figured out how to continually piece with the roll so I'm just ripping off pieces anyway.

I'm one of those people who buys supplies for "someday", and I have a very large supply of adding machine paper in different widths, so don't know if any are 3 1/2". I find bags of the tape in thrift stores.
I have had covers cut off books and punched for notebooks or the spines that allow a book to be laid flat. I would think they could take some of those telephone books and cut stacks of 3 1/2" wide strips to be kept in a tissue box, etc. I wonder if it is possible to cut down a roll of paper tape.

If you telephone books and cover the whole page, them you can cut in 1/2 to get twice as much in one quick sewing. I always have to cut off my paper tape anyway, as the roll comes undune and makes a mess. I like to sew about 10 inches at a time. Good luck with your search for roll. I got mine at a Cash and Carry Store.

So, what is this for?

StrayCat.....many quilters sew scrap strips to adding machine tape to use for piano borders.
