I am bored,it is hot and humid out.I looked a many books-can not pick a quilt design-so I cut 1 yd of each of these into 2.5 inch strips.I will probably do them as a log cabin.I think they all play well with each other. They are Thimbleberries,Henry Glass and others.

Wonderful fabrics. They will make a beautiful log cabin.

Your fabrics look great. Can't go wrong with a log cabin. :) Have fun!

Will make a great log cabin, my all time favorite block. Always hot and humid here in the south, I love it, can't stand to be cold.

Your fabrics peaked my interest! Looking forward to seeing the quilts you make!

Love it hot and dry here in Montana with many wild fires, I have just started with log cabins and am loving the folded minis!

Hot and dry here, usually very high humidity in the summer here. We haven't had a decent rainfall in quite a few weeks, everything is drying up.

Your fabrics are beautiful, will make a great quilt.

have you ever done one of those Mile a Minute quilts where you sew all your strips together end to end to form one really long strip. Then you match the two ends and sew the strip so it is half the length, (in effect you have cut the long strip in half and sewed a quilt top two strips wide. Then the ends are matched again and the quilt is 4 strips wide, then 8, then 16 etc. I bet there is a tute somewhere that says how many strips you need. They are gorgeous fabrics.

interesting... fabric... it would make a lot of different blocks

I think all your colors play very well together. It should make a "peaceful" log cabin.

Beautiful looking fabric. There's a pattern called summer in the park that calls for 2.5" strips. Look it up on line. I'm sure whatever you make it will be beautiful.

That would be a fabulous use for these beautiful fabrics. There's a tutorial here on the board someplace. It's under "Jelly Roll Race". These would make neat 9-patches, too.

It's hot & humid & miserable here in WI, too. DH pointed out today that even the weeds are wilting! And our A/C picked yesterday to go belly up! Thank goodness the nice A/C guy came right out & fixed it but still... whew!

Here it is 'mid way' through summer and we really haven't had summer yet. Second year in a row for really odd weather here in Oregon. Normally its 75 to 85 and gorgeous. We've had WAY more rain, cooler temps and weather that seems to change every 5 minutes....

It'a hot and humid and I'm bored too. I like your plan but need to do some clearing up in sewing room first. You have some very nice color combinations that will make some really intereting blocks. Have fun, May in Jersey
