I wanted to share a picture of my Sudoku quilt that I finished recently. I got part four of the quilt pattern in a magazine from the British Quilters Guild - so had no block instructions - had to work that out myself. Each individual block measured 4 inches. I am really pleased with the result !

Fun quilt Dotty! Great idea for a pattern, and your colors/fabrics are super.

I've made one Sudoku quilt but it was nothing as complicated as this one. I love your fabric choices and how each square is a pieced one, not a square of fabric. Nice job!

Very nice!

Lovely. I've been wanting to make one. You've helped me to get on board! I like your quilt very much.

Daylesewblessed 12-04-2018 07:43 PM

That is quite a sophisticated Sudoku quilt! The patterns I have seen have had solid colored squares and were very simple in comparison to yours.

Darcyshannon 12-04-2018 10:35 PM

I haven’t seen this kind of quilt before.

Moira in N.E. England 12-05-2018 12:49 AM

That is SO clever - well done!

JJBlaine 12-05-2018 03:57 AM

Your quilt turned out wonderfully. What a creative idea! I might have to "borrow" it for a future scappy!

quilterpurpledog 12-05-2018 04:17 AM

Great quilt. I think it really represents that fun past time. Your choice of fabrics is perfect for your project. That would really be a fun conversation piece. Thank you for sharing.

Great quilt...I love the fabrics too.

McCall's Quick Quilts (2005) had a pattern for the Sudoku also. Finished size was 40.5"x40.5" with 12" square blocks.
I did a couple of them and one was different fish for my fisherman son.

I've made a sudoku quilt for which colors substituted for numbers, but this version with the number of pieces in a block varying is new to me. Very nice!
