Very pretty quilt and quilting!!
|
Perhaps a bit late after all the postings, but I read the post by Charisma and related. I have just completed a wall hanging from batiks with a light blue background. I used blue chalk to line out 1" diagonal lines to quilt. Used white thread to quilt. Could not get rid of those darn blue lines. This afternoon I sprayed the piece with "Spray and Wash" and said a little prayer and tossed it into the laundry.....after much pacing around and waiting...I took it out of the washer and the blue lines were gone! Voila! Happy ME! Doubt I will use the chalk again tho....

One of my first quilts I used yellow chalk to mark my quilting on blue...sad to say, but 3 years later the yellow chalk is still there. I've learned to be very wary of what I mark my quilts with for quilting. I use white as much as possible or the graphite (gray) of Sewline that I can erase or wash away. I'll be interested if you can find a way to get rid of the yellow...my yellow disaster is on my first applique project that I designed for my parents and I would really like to get rid of the yellow.
