Good job. I cannot imagine how Charisma will quilt it, but it will be beautiful!

This might be my favorite that you've done so far for her! It's great! On which part did you use the machine tape? The skinny strips or the wider ones?

I love this bright and cheery quilt! What a great use of little scraps!

Hmmmmmmm - I'm thinking that Accuqult owners could sew scraps together and then use their strip cutters instead of sewing scraps to paper. How wide are the strips of scraps? Are the solid color strips the same width?

That is really a neat quilt!!! What a fabulous way to use scraps.

the machine tape is the skinny strips of different fabrics...they were 3" wide so i had to cut them in half before sewing them

There is something about scrappy quilts that I love. In one of the guilds that I belong, we are doing a half square triangle trade. I can't wait to get started on this and get mine back. The trade will last a year so I should get lots of scrappy HST. Love your quilt.

cat2quilt 03-27-2012 07:27 AM

That is a very unusal quilt! I admire your perseverance.

huntannette 03-27-2012 07:36 AM

sounds like a lot of fun...and you will have a wonderfull collection of scraps...

This is another scrappy on it`s way to Charisma....it is called Summer Trellis.....found the pattern in the "Down Under Quilts Yearbook 2003" ...of course i did mine my way...lol used adding machine paper rolls to piece the scraps....i really love how it looks so i will be making another one eventually for myself.....lots of 1 and 1/2 " strips....thank you for looking!!

I made this quilt many years ago but in the book I got it from it was called Lights in the Window. ( Ironic that your pattern was in an Aussie book also. Think mine was in Patchwork & Stitching) It went to my eldest grandson because he admired one of the reds I used. He has Aspergers so it was unusual for him to comment on something like that.
