Summertime Sampler - Block 7
 

Here is block 7 of my Summertime sampler by Erica Kaprow - this block took a little more time to complete because of all the points on the leaves and the double wool leaves of the ivy - but I am happy with it - I think I will add more stems though.

The leaf points look fantastic. I like the pretty blue color you chose for the vase. Do you stitch this in a hoop? I have not attempted handwork yet and have loved seeing your works of art. Thank you!

Yes, another great looking block to go with the others you have made. I also agree with adding more stems. I think it will look more "natural" that way. As someone else mentioned, the different stitches are wonderful and add so much texture to this block. I thought this was a BOM but I guess you are doing more than one of these a month since this is number 7? You are making a lot of headway with this quilt. I'll be interested in seeing how the blocks are put together at the end.
