Super Quick and Easy For scraps

2 Attachment(s)
This one was from American Patchwork and Quilting and if I recall was called ‘String Theory’. A couple of metres of solids and a bucket load of small strips and it goes together lightning quick.

This one will be a beach quilt for one of my nieces. I was able to pick up a cheery coordinating print for the backing. Although my walking foot stitching on the solids might indicate I drink heavily while at the machine I can assure you that is not the case!

Your phrase about it using up a boat load of scraps/strips caught my attention! Your's turned out great!

I usually don’t like scrappy quilts but love yours. You have done such a great job unifying them!

Me, too ... generally not a huge fan of scrappy quilts. But this one is very nice and a pattern that I would like to use myself for "scrap busting". Nice job ... thank you for sharing.

That's beautiful! You did a great job.

GingerK 06-18-2019 04:51 AM

What a great idea! That looks super and such a good use of bits and pieces. I have a box of shorter strings--to short for any current project but too long to 'happily' toss into the dog bed stuffing bag. I hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea for a couple of charity quilts.

Iceblossom 06-18-2019 05:00 AM

Nice top and that's an awesome back!

Would love to know what issue of the magazine, if it is recent and still attainable, where you found this pattern. Love the results and I do a lot of charity quilts. Thank you for sharing.
