Gorgeous! I agrre that you should work in the darker red from the center somehow into the additional borders. A border of the stars on that background would be gorgeous. So would a serpentine with that darker red as backgroubd. My two cents, anyway.

I totally agree with Lori 8...... this quilt is beautiful and you have a lot of work into it... and when you get it all done.. wow... a Keepsake for sure.. can't wait to see the finished product... Beautiful... :)

Beautiful quilt. As for making it larger I suggest an additional boarder using the stars that surround the center medalion and darker red from the center of the quilt. To give some color seperation of the two "reds" create another thinner border of the gold color before the new outer border with the stars. You can set these star blocks on point or in squares , either would look nice. You can copy the stars and enlarge then to suit your purposes, but be careful to stay "in scale" or proportion with the other elements.
Again nice work on a difficult pattern.

Gosh, this is beautiful. You might be able to find some other examples on this forum to see what you might add.

These are very good suggestions. That quilt is simply exquisite!

Oh my goodness, it is beautiful!

GORGEOUS! Just keep adding borders until its the size you want in the end. Maybe a wider border of that gold would be pretty!

I just finished this and wanted to share it with you all. I am thinking about enlarging this to a king size but not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

It is amazing!! I am not sure how you would make this larger. Do you have a good amount of yardage left over from the paper-piecing?? Are you doing more paper-piecing?? Sorry I have lots of questions!!!

Beautiful work. I don't have too much in the suggestion area but what about applique flowers on vines? It would complement that lovely floral fabric you have used. Depends if you want to piece or not. It does look beautiful and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
