What a lucky Mom you are. I sure do miss those days.Tell the girls they did a great job. ( Can I be Aunty Pam from Az.?)   Pam W.

jbsstrawberry 03-17-2008 03:37 PM

"Thanks for the hugs Auntie Shadow!!" XOXOXOXOXOXO back to you!!!! We love you bunches!"

What great pictures/gifts!
I loved it when my girls made me things like that. My oldest, when in kindergarten, had her hand done in plaster for Mother's Day. I still have it and with all the moves we have done, it's still in perfect shape. It's one of my FAVORITE things I have and protect to the death!!

Kids are great! Just tell them that their Auntie Terri in Guam says they did a WONDERFUL job!!
They are 2 beautiful girls!!

ccbear66 03-17-2008 03:44 PM

That is very thoughtful of them. Doesn't it just make your day when you get something that comes from the heart and not the store. Give the girls a big hug tell them that they did a great job. Give yourself a big birthday hug from me also.

Those are the best!! Now if you could just take the treasures they give you and make a quilt out of them!! :D

jbsstrawberry 03-17-2008 04:00 PM

There are two very tickled little girls sitting next to me right now! LOL We have scheduled a geography lesson for later this evening...because "this is way cool mommy!! Can you show us where all our aunties live?"

Terri, that is so cool! I have handprint "turkeys" that they made me last Thanksgiving, I hope to hang on to them for as long!! Thanks :) I think they're kinda cute too

Yes ccbear!! I love when they bring home such wonderfully special things! They always have such a beautiful smile and sparkles in their eyes when the make things for others. Always sooo special!! They said "thanks for the hugs Auntie Barb!! hugs back for you too!!"
Thanks for my b-day hug! I feel so special. :D

Auntie Pam....they did this when I read your last post to them

jbsstrawberry 03-17-2008 04:03 PM

helen, what a great idea!!! Maybe the printable fabric would work!

tlrnhi 03-17-2008 04:06 PM

If you'd like, PM me your address and I can send them each a post card from here. I'm pretty sure they have postcards. I'll have to take a ride down to Tumon, but I also think K-Mart sells them. They have and area for local kine stuff.

I'm usually the one that everyone contacts when kids are doing geography so they can get a postcard/picture. I don't mind doing it. I remember LONG, LONG ago, when I used to be penpals with people in other countries. Would love getting the letters and stamps.

signitwright 03-17-2008 04:09 PM

Great . I live in Tucson, Az. Hope they can find me. :D :D :D :D Auntie Pam

Courtepointe 03-17-2008 04:22 PM

Would they like something from Canada? In French? PM me if you think they would like that! I'd be happy to help out.

Thrnhi
when I was in my late teens/early twenties, I had upwards to 20 penpals from all over the world.. there was no email or Internet back then and it was all handwriting!! I loved it and enjoyed learning about my friends countries and cultures.. I remember one of things we loved to do was exchange our favourite candies and junk food!!! I received the best candy from Japan, Turkey, England, Yugoslavia and soooooooo many more interesting places

I think the Geography lesson would be alot of fun for your girls jbs!!! Don't forget to show them St. John's, Newfoundland!!! I'm sending hugs to them from here!

Celeste 03-19-2008 01:28 AM

Add San Jose, California! I can send pretty postcards of the Golden Gate Bridge . .

jbsstrawberry 03-19-2008 08:05 AM

Wow...thanks ladies!!!! They are sooo excited and are planning where they are going to display their postcards :D. Y'all are just the greatest group of folks!

BDor 03-19-2008 08:23 AM

Jasming & Alicia,

You two are great!!!! Your Mommy is very lucky to have you. You did a wonderful job making those presents and I just know when you grow up you will make very special Mommies yourself.

I live in Mississippi and all I have are grandsons so I sure could use 2 granddaughters and I think you two would be perfect.

MaMaw Beverly

jbsstrawberry 03-21-2008 04:34 PM

BDor, (Jasmine) We sure can do that!! (Alicia) Sure!!!!
They are discussing how you can never have too many cool grandmas!! And it works out well because they have no brothers LOL. So MaMaw Beverly, welcome to the family!!

So, looks like we need to set a few more places now LOL; Easter Dinner is at 1 p.m. Sunday. We're having turducken (chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey with layers of cornbread dressing between each) and smoked pork loin. Dinner is at Aunt Linda's this year, but the girls and I are making desserts.
