My first Valentine Quilt. The quilt was sewn on point and the pattern only called for 6 hearts in different colors. I wanted to stay with multi colored red fabrics and had to tickle my brain so I can figure out how to add another row. I love the reds.

Very nice, I love the red and black together. I'm starting a Texas Tech quilt for my son this year. Made one for my DH that turned out nicely. Just have to decide on a block I want to use. Hope I can get it done by September for his birthday. I hope it turns out as nicely as yours.

Very nice! When I first looked at the pic, it appears that the hearts were made of small blocks pieced together, but it's an applique of one piece? It's hard to tell on my moniter, but whichever it is, the reds with the black really make the pattern stand out! Nice back, by the way...

The hearts are little squares all pieced. It would have been a lot easier doing an applique. Lots of little pieces. LOL

Thank you everyone. I usually don't like doing quilts that are sewn on point but this one was fun. Its going to be a challenge to try this quilt in a queen size. Pattern only calls for 6 hearts. I did add an additional row and boy what a brain teaser. A queen size is going to really fry the brains. But I live for the challenge. Once again thank you.
