lots2do 03-01-2010 02:08 PM

Oh, I really like this! Thanks for the link, too.
I have a friend retiring from work in June and have some fabric with her name in it (vintage looking, like from the Dick and Jane era) and have wanted to make a bag for her. Will try this one!

Rainbow 03-01-2010 07:42 PM

I made another one today!! Still didn't follow the directions! I made the lining out of one solid piece of fabric and lined it with interfacing. I added batting and quilting to the "main" bag this time.

maybe one of these days i'll make one and actually follow the directions

Rainbow 03-07-2010 01:13 PM

GO GIRL !!!

Here's a third attempt!

charm squares inside and out - handles from my scrap bin...

no interfacing - it's nice and floppy - will make a nice shopping bag since I can smoosh it up and put it in my purse until I need it.

dglvr 03-12-2010 09:07 PM

Why follow directions. Looks like your a pro without them.

Great job on the bags and thanks for the link.

I have a question tho...do the sides stay closed or pooch out? That is an issue for me.

OkieDokie 04-26-2010 09:57 PM

Love the bags! Gonna' make one for me!

If i used stabilizer, they pretty much stand up straight. If I didn't, they flop every which way. --- You could always include a snap or closure though...

eparys 04-27-2010 02:46 AM

You have been busy - What great Bags!!

Chele 04-27-2010 02:53 AM
