I think I used a top-stitch 90 needle, and I used a very thin polyester thread so that the thread color didn't really show up in the quilting--with all that going on, I really didn't want much emphasis on the quilting. There are no holes in the logos; just the stitches, which look fine. There were holes when I first tried quilting without the waxed paper, and I had to pull those stitches out because of the distortion. But after I pulled the stitches out, you would have to look really closely to find any holes at all--they sort of closed up.
