Looks great! My DD's have lots of band shirts and would like a quilt from them, but I'm afraid to cut them up, afraid I'll mess up real bad and ruin the shirts for good. :(

Just go for it sew_southern. They'll love them. You could maybe find "How to Make a Too-Cool T-Shirt" by Andrea T. Funk. Directions are great.

The letters are appliqued on my embroidery machine( Janome) and I used several embroidery designs in quilt also

Katiedid2 09-16-2013 07:46 AM

I iron fusible, woven interfacing on the back side of the part of t shirt I am using, then cut blocks, and then lay them out and sew together . that works for me. On this one I quilted over all on my longarm and it worked out fine.

mighty 09-16-2013 08:14 AM

Now that is cool!!! I love it!!!

WTxRed 09-16-2013 08:18 AM

Really cute and a nice change! Did you applique all the letters or ??? (i feel like that's a silly question lol)

Katiedid2 09-16-2013 02:18 PM

Machine applique letters on my Janome 11000 Never silly questions!! we learn by asking other quilters all the time
