I just finished this today...I'm trying to get ready for the fair Sunday...I think I'll charge $20 for this one.

What do you think?

tlrnhi 10-27-2008 12:21 PM

I'm not sure how much Karla is charging for hers.
I really don't like the ones I did...ok, there's maybe 3 that I REALLY, REALLY like and those are going for either $15 or $20. It's just left over fabric that I had laying around. The ones that I am calling UGLY are going for $10, just to get rid of them. Even hubby says they aren't that pretty.

How long is yours? Mine are only about 3-4 ft long.
But $20 doesn't seem like a bad price.
Good luck on your fair!

This is four feet long, so it's pretty big. I've got htis one and one other that I'm going to take, and this one I'll charge $20 the other I'll charge $15. Thanks for the feedback!

I just did a search on Etsy.com and this is what came up.
http://www.etsy.com/search_results.p...y=tablerunners

I do, however, think some of the stuff on there is WAAAY overpriced. I saw a baby quilt that they lady was selling for $300. It was nothing special, just what looked like 4inch squares/patchwork. AND...it was tied!!

It's beautiful!!

Quilt4u 10-27-2008 03:19 PM

Very nice. 20 sounds good.

mrsj82 10-27-2008 05:43 PM

I really enjoyed this one. Might make another! Thanks!

Your runner is lovely. Love the blue cool colors. Have not made much for craft fairs.

I love your tablerunner and I think $20 is a great price. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the snowman fabric!!!!

Mplsgirl 10-28-2008 08:52 AM

I think you priced it just right.

MelissaK 10-28-2008 09:03 AM

It is beautiful (love the blue) and I think $20 is perfect. I got so discouraged with table runners at my last craft fair. I only sold 1. Tough times we are in now! Good luck with yours!

Nice good luck on your sale

true4uca 10-28-2008 12:25 PM

I just donated 3 table runners to fund raiser. My points weren't real great. They wanted to know how much I'd like them sold for. I suggested $15 so they priced them at $20. A lady bought all 3. After she paid she told me I should re-think my prices as she'd just bought one at another booth for $60.

tlrnhi 10-28-2008 12:41 PM

HOLY COW!! $60!
I think, too...it all depends on the area.
I'm pricing my things on the low side, but there's always next year where I can up the prices. I'm also hoping too, that I can look around and see what else is up for sale. Just got an e-mail in saying another crafter rented a table.

mrsj82 10-28-2008 02:19 PM

Wow $60 is right! I'm going to go with $20 and hope for the best. Can I ask what the best seller at craft fairs are for all of you? I've got so far, 3 tote bags, 10 pot holders, 4 sets of 6 coasters, travel pillows, and two table runners. It's a six hour fair, what's everyone's opinion on quantity...does that seem like enough? I just don't want to sell out...

ChristineD 10-28-2008 02:24 PM

Very nice. I like the material.

zyxquilts 10-28-2008 02:43 PM

Oooh, that's a lovely runner! It makes me feel more like winter than the 90+ degrees it is outside right now....
I haven't been to a craft fair in years, so can't help you on the prices.
Good luck to all of you selling in the upcoming weeks!

sandpat 10-28-2008 03:55 PM

Oh, I love your blue table runner. I think it should fly off your table for 20 bucks.!

I can't wait to hear how the craft fairs turn out for all of you. I've never done one, so I'm pretty curious.

triciasquilts 10-28-2008 08:36 PM

I have my table runners priced from $20 - $23 for something similiar. I actually sold a lot this past weekend at my craft show. People were buying 2-3 at a time!! I sold a ton of potholders and coaster sets. And probably about 60 microwave potato baker bags! Plus tons of other stuff. I was very happy when I left there, except now I have to get ready for a craft market this Saturday. Plus I have about 5 special orders to get done. I averaged about $125 an hour!!!!! Not bad for a show. I wish you the best of luck with yours.

reneebobby 10-29-2008 03:11 AM
