Table Runner for daughter...
2 Attachment(s)
My daughter bought her first home recently & I wanted to bring her a house-warming gift when we go to see it. I liked the curved flying geese, so I decided to try it. As I was sewing it together, I decided to play with the pieces and see what else I could do with them. This is what I came up with. It was a free pattern from Quilter's Newsletter called Winter Snowfall. My husband said to add some color when I was done, so I added a light orange border. I'm still thinking of doing some quilting on this, but I kind of like the way it came out. I may even make another one with different colored flying geese around a yellow or light orange center circle. I think it would be startling! I just haven't worked with a lot of curves & wanted to see if I could do it this time.

That came out really interesting. I am sure she will enjoy using it in her new house.

Very pretty runner. I love the pattern but I was always hesitant on trying it. Someday I'll give it a go. Your daughter will love it in her new home

Lovely table runner. I'm going to try to find the pattern.

What a pretty gift!<3

Very nice. If you have any fabric left from the back, you might try fussy cutting a bird and applique it to the front on the center circle. Just a thought that came to mind. Not necessary, but might be a fun addition.

You done a fantastic job on it. I love everything about it.

Very pretty table runner!

Lovely table runner; I'm sure your daughter will love it! I agree with Just Jan -- a bit of color in the circle will make it pop even more!
