Table Runner from John Kubiniek class

3 Attachment(s)
I took a class Saturday from John Kubiniek of Big Rig Quilting. The class was shortened due to the weather. So he taught is techniques and tips and sent us home with two patterns. I altered them, as I usually do ;) . This is the table runner and a couple of pictures showing how to cut a snowball 'square' out of the leftovers from a drunkard's path block. I call it Snowmageddon because a FB friend said it reminded her of all the shoveling she had just done.

It's definitely busy... and wintery.

Ah, western NY. I lived in Rochester for five years in the late 80's and early 90's. Hope you are staying warm and that the quilting keeps you from despair of the long winter.

Great technique. Nice table runner but would like to see it done up in a quilt. Thanks for sharing. NY can't seem to catch a break this winter. Brrrrr.

interesting technique, thank you for sharing. Did you do a large HST first and then cut out the DP?
P.S. hope you are staying warm--heard you guys are getting hammered with snow and subzero weather.
