table runner from leftovers

This is the table runner I made from the leftovers from my mickey and friends quilt. I used different decorative stitches and red thread to quilt down the center of the black sashings.

Very cute tablerunner. That would be adorable for a birthday party with the "Mickey Mouse" theme. You did a wonderful job.

You did that well! Nice that the black sashing pulls it together.

Good thinking!!

Just wondering, blocks 1,3,5 and 2,4 are the same. My first thought was it was done randomly but as I look more closely I see it has a pattern. Just wondering where you found the pattern or if you just used to different blocks. Hope this makes sense.

When I made my mickey and friends quilt using Missouri Star's half-hexi block, I had two extra (blocks 2 and 4). Blocks 1,3,5 are made from 6 "waste" pieces created when I cut the 12.5 inch blocks to size, with sashing between them.
