Finally! This is actually the 2nd one I've made, but I still haven't taken a pic of the 1st one. I gave this one to my friends, the MacQuarries, who invited me to share Thanksgiving with them. Since Jim is a member of CAPS (Cartoon Art Professionals Society, or something close to that), I thought the Peanuts Christmas fabric in the center would be perfect!
As soon as I get a pic of my other runner, I'll post it here too. It has Nutcrackers in the center, and is for my cousin who has a collection of Nutcrackers. |

I love that!! What a special touch to add the specifically selected centers. And the candy cane binding really finishes it perfectly!!

Yes, my friends did like their runner....I did have one of "those" moments when I was on my way to their house: "Oh no! Does Jim like Charles Schultz? What if he doesn't? Oh well, they can just turn it over to the back then..." LOL BTW, he is a Peanuts fan. And he actually just got a hand-written note from Stan Lee (creator of Spider Man, X-Men, etc) and is SOOOO jazzed! Stan was the honoree at a recent CAPS dinner, and Jim had given him one of his own (Jim's) cartoons that involved Jim as a youngster reading an X-Men comic book. Just had to brag on him a bit! :wink: |
