This pattern is a spin on the Thousand Pyramids block. I found it in Better Homes & Gardens, American Patchwork and Quilting, Quilt Lovers Favorites, Volume 8.

These volumes are compilation books of all the best patterns from the magazine. I do not know the month or year it was published in the magazine. You might be able to track it down from this information.
