Finally finished it....not sure if I like the lace, but it will have to do. This is my Spring table quilt.

renee765 02-24-2010 06:10 PM

That is SO pretty. It would look great on my round table - WITH the lace!

belmer 02-24-2010 06:14 PM

The lace looks great with it. Nice job.

thimblebug6000 02-24-2010 06:25 PM

You did a great job! Not a "lacy" person myself....but it seems to just finish off your project perfectly.

Maggie_Sue 02-24-2010 06:38 PM

Oh soooooo pretty I think the lace is just perfect!!!

tlrnhi 02-24-2010 06:39 PM

n2scraplvr 02-24-2010 07:01 PM

I love it and love lace. Just today was thinking of finishing my project off with an edge of lace. Your lace was the perfect touch for the beautiful table cover! Great job! :D :D

butterjoy 02-24-2010 07:11 PM

Wow, that is very nice!

Ms Grace 02-24-2010 07:19 PM

graphicsbysue 02-24-2010 09:05 PM

This is absolutely gorgeous. I think the lace is pretty,
but I probably would not use lace unless the fabrics and
pattern were more "formal."

charmpacksplus 02-24-2010 09:07 PM

That looks really nice!

sharon b 02-24-2010 09:36 PM

I Love it ... it is so pretty  And I agree the lace finishes it off nicely

I'm curious as to how you got the quilt edges to be just the right size for your table?

Barb_MO 02-24-2010 10:12 PM

Looks good. What did you decide to do to the center? Looks like you got your problem solved.

SulaBug 02-25-2010 01:03 AM

OMG!! It turned out so pretty & I really like the addition of the lace you added to it. What a Great Job you have done making this beauty!! Thanks for sharing with all of us.

nativetexan 02-25-2010 08:04 AM

it doesn't necessarily need the lace, but it looks good with it.

mytwopals 02-25-2010 08:13 AM

Very pretty. But I agree on the lace being out of place.

I put a material that kind of looked like the sun in the middle and then stitched around it to make it look like it was radiating a little. I thought it went with my springtime theme, the sun making the flowers bloom, lol.

Me too!

The funny thing about this is that I first went to this class to make a Christmas tree skirt (which I didn't need) so the instructor said we could make this into a tablecloth by adding a couple of inches to the bottom of each piece (which I did) and I don't know how, but the first one I made even fits better than this one. Must just be lucky because I didn't measure it to fit.

quiltylori 02-25-2010 10:54 AM

Thanks everyone....I appreciate all the compliments and the honesty about the lace. I got up this morning and had another look at it and it is growing on me. So that's a good thing because I'm not taking it off, lol.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

dkabasketlady 02-25-2010 06:33 PM

Beautiful table topper, not sure the lace goes so much with your country decor, but looks good! I'm not a lace person myself, more on eyelet than lace.

Oklahoma Suzie 02-26-2010 02:50 AM

wow, nice

Barb_MO 02-26-2010 06:33 AM
