How nice you guys are not to mention the wrinkles that I need to fix somehow... but it will cut into the points if I trim it. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

when you put border on did you measure down the middle or along the sides? If you measure down middle it gives a truer measurement & border should take 'up the slack' & square things up - just a thought
