Would LOVE to know how to do this quilt, I tried looking it up but can't find any pattern for it! Please share if you can, this would make a GREAT quilt for my son in the air force! He would think his mom was so cool!!

You folks are so kind and make me blush with your comments. After much agonizing and advice from this board and my friend, I collected (from my stash and bought some more) about 12 fabrics. I laid them on the couch and asked my husband to arrange eight of them from dark to light! He's really good at that. Because I wanted the box to be deep I decided to use eight fabrics instead of six. I cut strips 1 3/4 inches wide and made a strip set, very carefully pressing to the darkest. Using a large 60 degree ruler I cut the triangles. Keep in mind the first few were experimental until I got the colors exactly right. I worked in sections - one dark and one light row until I had it the length that I wanted. Constructing the rows began by sewing one vertical row of "lights" and one of "darks". Then those two were stitched together vertically. Two more sections completed the body of the quilt. I added a muted black inner border and dark brown outer border. The binding is a flange binding which I made much wider than the norm to bring in more black and it almost has the appearance of a mini border. I will next post a picture of the quilting and binding. Again, I thank all of you for your advice when I first posted about this quilt, and again for your wonderful comments.
