Talent's Quilt
2 Attachment(s)
I was contacted through my etsy shop about 3 months ago and asked to make a very simple quilt. She wanted a certain camo print on the front, and plain khaki fabric on the back. I ordered the fabric and was all ready to start when I had a family emergency. My Aunt (who I think of as my mom) has MS and she fell a couple of times and ended up being hospitalized for about 3 weeks. I had many conversations with Talent's mom during this time, apologizing for all of the delays and we became friends. She was very understanding about it taking so much longer than I had anticipated, so I decided to make it special for her very special little 2 year old. We talk often and she has told me how much little Talent loves his quilt... He keeps making her flip it over every couple of days. Sometimes he wants his name showing, and sometimes just the camo. She will be sending me pics of him with his quilt soon and I will post those as well with her permission when I get them, but here is Talent's quilt...

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you care for your aunt. I had a sister who had MS and I know others who are dealing with it. Isn't it fun to make small children happy? It's always special for them to see their own name on something.

Very nice quilt.

Great quilt. Really like the idea of putting the name on one side. I may have to "borrow" that technique for a future child's quilt!

Love the quilt - hope your aunt's condition is manageable - -

You are a kind compassionate person. Also thoughtful and creative. Love the name down the back of the quilt. May I borrow your idea ? Hugs
