My DD & family just moved back here from Texas where her husband was in Army. My oldest GD wanted to make a quilted purse...so I made the quilt sandwich for her...showed her how to quilt around the flowers with free motion...left the room so she would feel relaxed & let her quilt. She did wonderful...and about half way thru she came out into the livingroom and said " Grandma you know what I want for my birthday? A sewing machine" Yes I am beaming with joy. I am so proud of her work ~! Alas,,,a quilter is born. Thanks for looking.

How wonderful! She is a cutie and she is doing great!

She is a beautiful little girl and with you as a teacher she has a great future. Pretty soon she will be sharing pictures of her quilts.
|
Her quilting is looking good and she certainly looks at home behind your machine.

Congratulations on your recruiting efforts! I know this cute girl will have fun making the purse and other future projects.

I love the story of her you shared, and she is a very pretty girl. I like her birthday wishes. She is going to have fun as a pretty sewer/quilter.

I just love it when a new quilter is borne. She is a pretty lil thing and is doing so well quilting. I haven't even tried FMQ with a DM. I have a LA so thats what I do. She is braver then I.
