My niece is taking a sewing class in high School , buy she doesn't know how to sew  LOL so I had her come over and I taught her to operate a sewing machine
And in school this week she finally sat at the machine  And got in trouble for the bobbin not winding correctly :hunf: Wouldn't that be more of a machine issue ?

How fun for the two of you! She looks so cute and so proud of her beautiful runner :D:D:D

She did a very nice job on her runner! Different machines wind their bobbins differently. That what the teacher is there for.

Wow. Great job. And sewing outside. What a wonderful idea and treat.

Wooo, look atchall out there with hats and sweatshirts on, lordy, we had to take a shower this afternoon to wash off the heat and sweat and grime after playing on the screen porch with DGS, couldn't wait to get back into the A/C.

Nice job on the crazy quilt, a very good start for a very cute new quilter.

Both of you will remember this until your dying days! And this is a great way to get to know her as the young woman she is becoming!

Love the table runner!

I think it's great that ya'll are getting to share your love of sewing. As far as getting in trouble...well that's just silly....what kind of teacher gets upset because the machine messed up. For that matter, if she did make a mistake, why would she get in trouble :(

Nice table runner and she looks happy. Is this a new trend now - sewing outside?? I might like to try that.

Tell her good job on the table runner, how neat to be able to sew outside = weather was good.

I love to sew outside right on the deck under the tree. We had our deck tore apart this summer and really missed it. Wonderful to teach kids these skills.
