Made this for my two youngest grandsons for Christmas. I still have to put the blanket stitch around the edge of the blankets. I had to order a skip stitch blade for my rotary cutter because My arthritis has gotten worse in my right hand and I couldnt push the needle through the fleece.

I want to be your grandson.

My mother did things like this for me and my twin sister when we were growing up, teepees, curtains for stages (we like to put on plays in the backyard). We may be girls but we were tomboys. There wasn't anything a boy did that we didn't try, climb trees, slide down hills, etc. Thanks for the memory. Your grandsons will have fond memories of their childhood.

Wow! They will have lots of fun in their teepee. You put a lot of work into it.... we always hung a sheet over a couple of chairs and "camped out".

They would have loved it!! By the way, I'm talking about my girls, I was a real tomboy and so were my 3 girls!!!!

What a cool gift, I love it, if my kids were younger I would be trying it, it now might have to wait for the grands to start showing.

That is sooooooo cute. I bet the grandkids are in it all the time. Hmmm, my grandson would take the steaks and use them for swords, after he knocked down the tent. LOL Got a love 'em.

It is a Butterick Pattern. They showed a plain blue tent with ribbons for a boy and there was an adorable one for girls in pink with sheer panels in the front and lfringed beads over the door. I decided that I wanted a more "Native American" looking tent for my grandsons....so I did all the embroidered designs and used more natural colors.

WOW...thank you everyone for the compliments. The boys havent received it yet. We are hoping for some clean weather next week and we will take it to Colombus OH where they live. I hope they like it. No one asked for it.

Story behind it is (I have always been fascinated with the Native American culture and admire them)....when Joann's has their patterns on sale for 99 cents, I go through the books and buy anything I even think I would like to make at some point. So I was looking through the pattern book and saw the teepee and sleeping rolls and thought maybe the boys would enjoy them for Christmas.
