One day in January I was out shopping at Dollar General & I saw some pretty washrags. (All my washrags are tattered.) They were in a pack of 8 & all tied up in a ribbon! I brought 'em home & put 'em on my cutting table in the kitchen, planning to put 'em up after i showed 'em to my DH.

The next day was my anniversary. DH took me to the LQS & bought me an Acuquilt Go & a couple of Dies for It. (He also bought me a "new to me" truck latter that day!!!!) I brought the Go in & put it on the cutting table & was looking at it. My eyes kept looking at those pretty washrags & I thought how much they looked like a bundle of fat quarters! The next thing i knew I was planning a quilt back. I drug my Dh to all the DG's in town & wiped 'em all out of these wash rags. I thought this will be easy... NOT.

Well to make a long story here's the first 5 of 13 rows!

Backed with muslin.

It's going to be a very warm quilt. It is a lot of work to work with stretchy stuff, but you're backing it with muslin, which will help. I think you'll be happy with it once it's finished.

If you backed it with plain muslin, it would make a great bath mat! Very pretty!

funny how our minds work, anytime we see color we see a quilt that needs to be made. I love it, great idea!!
