My daughter-in-law saw that I had some turquoise fabric leftover from the bow tucks tote and requested a clutch bag to carry to a wedding this weekend...thought I'd try out my texture magic to make it more interesting. We called the process shrinky-dink (remember that?). Since I was visiting her in Boston and didn't have my usual supply of snaps/velcro, I made a little strap to tuck the flap in to for closure.

The bow tucks bag is from pre-quilted fabric I'd purchased at Joann's (with some of the same turquoise fabric for the lining and trim).

TM already sewn to fabric...now the magic

Oh my gosh I love that clutch. And you just whipped it up. I that texture shrink stuff hard to sew? It looks hard.

That is very cute. It has a designer look.

No, you just "quilt" the fabric to the texture magic stuff (which feels like an acetate) -- you can use cross-hatch stitching or something more interesting -- mine was very simple straight stitches 1.5" apart. You can put batting between the fabric and TM if you want. Then you steam it from the TM side (don't touch the iron to the TM because it can leave some messy residue on your iron) and it shrinks it up.

After that you sew your bag (or whatever) as you would normally. VERY easy and kinda cute!

That's one of the prettiest Bow Tuck bags I've seen yet.
