I was so afraid to wash this fabric for the backing of my daughter's quilt. She doesn't like pink, flowery, or girlie and I was worried that the apples would turn out pink! The only thing that came out pink are the color catchers.

I threw in 2 color catchers and it worked great!! I washed it on warm wash/cold rinse. Whew!!!

Where do you buy these?

I got them at Walgreen's in the laundry section. It's made by Shout, I believe, so they should be widely available. It looks like a box of dryer sheets.

I love Color Catchers. I get them in my laundry isle at my local grocery store.

I'm thinking if they caught that much color in the first wash, there may be a little more loose dye in that fabric. You might consider soaking a scrap and see if it's color-fast now.

I could wash it again. I left it in the dryer a little longer than I meant to so it's too dry to iron easily.

This is the first time I've used the color catcher so I don't know what's a lot or not. Glad I tried it because I have a bunch of dark red/white fabric for a planned quilt that I will definately use it for.

Those color catchers are fabulous. I use them everytime I wash a new quilt. I get mine at Walmart. I learned a lesson the hard way.

Wow, those worked great. Look at the pink in the color catcher. It certainly did it's job.
