Thank goodness for these photos! I see my mistake..

I took the photo to show a friend how my comfort quilt is going, and low and behold, I see in the photo what I didn't see on the wall. I sewed the top and bottom of the RW&B together with one upside down!!
Thank goodness I can repair this mistake before sewing the right and center panels together, or worse, after doing the quilting!! I've added a closeup of the 2 Army Stars before I added them to the center panel just to see them. I am excited about this quilt because this is the first thing I've sewn since losing my sister back in August. I'm so happy to be back in the stitch of things. Hugs and smiles! |
Kool. OK I see a lot of RW&B, can you tell me which one is upside down. It all looks good to me. BrendaK

I know, she has good eyes, right? can't see a mistake either.

Love the blocks! I think I see the "problem". The flag fabric with the white background shows twice in a row, on the second and third row. It took a while. In my eyes, it's a minor thing.

looks great

I couldn't spot the "mistake" either. All i see is a great quilt.
|
I never would have found it. Looks great!

I didn't see that, but one striped block is going a different direction... great quilt -- love it!

Sorry for your loss of your sister. I'm glad you are getting back into the quilting room. Your eyes are better than mine, I couldn't see the mistake.
|
It all looks good from here!
|
I only see maybe where the center bottom maybe flipped but other than that, it looks great!

I doubt that most of us would have noticed if you hadn't pointed out there was a mistake. It's very bright and cheerful. I'm glad you are able to sew again--I am sorry for your loss.

I can't see your mistake, but I'm glad you caught it in time. My condolences on losing your sister, I know it's difficult. My sister had asked me to help her make a simple one patch quilt for her great-granddaughter, however, she passed away before we could even start. I'm afraid it took me a couple of years before I could start on it and then her DGGD had another little girl, so I figured what's one more quilt, even twin sized. That would be great but she had another little girl. Yesterday I finished sewing the blocks together on the third quilt; as I felt I had to make quilts for the other two girls. I'm sure my DGN will be surprised one day when she gets the quilts, as my sister's fabric is in the second and third quilts as well. Quilting to me has always been healing for me and a way for managing stress. God bless and I know your sister will always be in your heart.

Even knowing what the mistake is, I can't find it! Good work!

I still don't see it.
I love patriotic quilts. |
