Don't you just love the wooden spools. I have some and would not part with them just because I remember that is what my granny used. great memories of watching her quilt and she taught me. nice find :)

Wow and my sister thinks her old thread should be thrown away. I told her not too, but I'll have to send her this post.

If the thread is too old to actually use, I put a little dab of glue on the end to hold it down and the fill containers like mason jars with the spools and have them in my sewing room...I only do it with wooden ones :)
