I love it. I'm having trouble finding my thread because it's in boxes from moving but this give me a great idea how to organize them when I finally locate everything. He did a great job.

I think he did a great job. Gonna show it to my hubby but I doubt if I get that kind of results from him! He is handy but maybe not that handy! You have a keeper for sure!

ORSunshineQuilter 10-06-2010 08:54 AM

It looks great! Isn't having a husband who can makes things wonderful! I know I love mine! I make a request and it is there! The only thing I would add is some type of doors so dust and sunlight doesn't get to the thread. Otherwise, I think it is A+!!!! Nice job! Enjoy your wealth!

I had thought of glass doors with the stained glass look of some sort of quilt block.

I did ask him if he has some sort of plan or blueprint...he said it's in his head. Not a bad idea though.

I think your husband is a very talented man. Where do you buy your thread? I need a good source for large quilting spools.

Bobbin Central is where i get the quilt thread from. I use Glide and Magna Glide bobbins. http://www.bobbincentral.com/

barefoot quilter 10-07-2010 12:45 PM

i need one of those, and love it hubby did a great job

lynmccoy 10-07-2010 03:10 PM

He did a fantastic job!! I turned a closet that wasn't being used into a fabric closet by putting in a storm door instead of the regular closet door.I have another smaller closet that would be perfect for my threads if you don't mind me copying your idea?

Is he the man to call for RENT A HUSBAND FOR THE DAY?? lol I love it. Now I need to ask my DH to do the same. Did he use a pattern or his own design? Maybe I need to go buy the book! Thank you for sharing. It would look nice in my sewing room!
