Thread painted Phoenix
 

I started this one doing appliqué and satin stitching but because there were so many angles I wasn't pleased with the way the satin stitching was turning out. I dropped the feed dogs and thread painted over them and managed to get a more feathered look.

That's really lovely. It turned out great!
