Thread Rack
 

I purchased my Handi Quilter Sweet 16 a little over two years ago. I have been purchasing quilting thread every time I go to the Houston International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. After trying various brands of quilting thread, my thread of choice is made by Filtec. I love, love the way it quilts. I also use their prewound bobbins. Needless to say, I am getting a great assortment of colors of Filtec thread.

I found myself in a dilemma of where to store them. I had them in a closet but told my husband how much I wanted a thread holder to hang on the wall. He designed it with 10 rows for large spools amd 4 rows at the bottom for my embroidery thread. He did a fantastic job and even stained it to make my sewing room furniture.

Told him he should start making them and selling them. Since he is retired, this would be something for him to do. It's nice having a handy husband around!!

such a nice idea - and love the wood look.... easy to dust as well with that finish on it - enjoy! And yes, he should make them to sell... bet he'd get lots of orders.

This is lovely, hubby did a great job! It would be great if he sold them, or if he would sell instructions for making them.
