I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, I was thinking of some kind of clear jar with a lid . Any other ideas?

I have a couple of the spools that I have put on my shelf that is in my sewing room. Also have a old tape measure some old buttons and some other sewing items on the shelf. Shelf is right above my singer card table which has my 3 featherweights on it.

The really skinny ones look like they might be the bobbins for the really old machines that had shuttles instead of a bobbin case.
Don't know enough to tell, but some of the more knowledgable folks on the vintage/antique machine thread would be able to tell you. |
I have some of those, I tied some hemp around the top of them( 2 together and one hanging lower) and tied a bow and have them hanging from shelf with shaker pegs. They also have thread on them. Seen some on a Christmas wreath one time too.
They also look like some may be the old textile mill bobbins....I think they were called "pirns" or something like that, held a huge amount of yarn; I remember seeing them when I worked at one of the southern textile mills...
Wow, those are neat. Great buy.
They are old factory spindles
Great find.
