Three UFOs finished

5 Attachment(s)
I have been working on my mountain of unfinished quilt tops, and happily I finished the last one this morning. Thought you might like to see them.
First is the Monopoly quilt that had been patiently waiting to be quilted. This will go to QFK.

Next is the Valentiney quilt. This too will go to QFK, I figure some little girl will love it.

And finally the "Blah" quilt. Ever see a jelly roll on the internet, think it looks cute, and when it comes you wonder why you ordered it? Well, this is one of those. I had a terrible time finding a backing for it.

I like all 3, including the one you don't like! Thanks for sharing!

I think they're wonderful - and the last one is actually perfect for QFK because they don't often get older teenagers' quilts. I really like it.

lue, it's not that I don't like it. It just doesn't have any bright cheery colors to it. I originally was going to do a jelly roll strippy thing with it, but it just didn't work. So I ended up doing the rail fence thing, which helped. Someone will be thrilled with it, when it goes to one of my charities.

Love them all...where did you find the monopoly material?

Tartan 07-17-2012 12:28 PM

The Monopoly quilt is awesome! I love how you cut the strip quilt at an angle. Your blah quilt is very nice too, not every quilt needs to be a show stopper to be enjoyed.

I LOVE the last quilt. The first two are super. There is something about the colors on the last one that speaks to me. Sometimes we need the peace and calm. You did a great job on all of them, thanks for sharing. BrendaK

I got a lot of that fabric when my LQS closed. I have had it around for several years. I think it was Robert Kauffman fabric. Try googling and see what you can find.

I agree 100%. Boys' quilts (especially teen-aged boys) are few & far between so this will be perfect for that! As for the others, they're fabulous also & will be much appreciated by the little ones who get them. You are so kind to do this for QFK.

Doesn't it feel great to get a UFO done? You just feel lighter somehow. I need to get with the program so I can feel that way, too... LOL!
