Many have asked about the pattern.
It is a pattern by Blackbird Designs and is called "Old Glory." This was included in a book called Summer Weekend published in 2001 by Barb Adams and Alma Allen.

I had been admiring it, and when 9/11 became part of our history I knew that I had to make it and dedicate it to the many lives lost that day. For now I still enjoy hanging it in our home.
