Lucy90 04-15-2012 04:14 PM

Second block of the month quilt on the sight today that I'm doing. I'm doing the same quilt but haven't even started. I'm just collecting the blocks for when I have time. One of the ladies at the quilt shop said the same thing about putting it together. She said it is a bitch and was having trouble. Then I thought oh boy but it is one of the kits I will start when I have the time. Trying to get UFO's done and projects that are in containers. I am not starting any more block of the month quilts!!!

newbiequilter 04-15-2012 04:58 PM

From my galloping horse it looks fantastic! Love the fabrics! You did a great job and accomplished a lot by completing the project.

zkosh 04-15-2012 07:22 PM

It's beautiful! I love the colors and, of course, all the batiks. Maybe you are just tired of working on it. I'm thinking you will feel differently after a break. I bet your sister will love it. :) :)

JoanneS 04-17-2012 04:08 PM

I think it's beautiful - sorry you don't like it. You may change your mind after it's quilted.

carolaug 04-17-2012 04:29 PM

wow...she is going to love it....I have one more block that is a PIA that I stuffed in a closet...after reading this its making me want to finish the final block. I can't even think about how I am going to sew the blocks all together...you did a wonderful job!!!

twixbar 04-17-2012 04:34 PM

It is a beautiful quilt.

Helen S 04-17-2012 05:49 PM

Very pretty. Love the way the colorful "rivers" flow between the blocks.

Peggy Jeanne 04-17-2012 06:44 PM

Your quilt is gorgeous!

nstitches4u 04-17-2012 06:53 PM

That was a lot of hard work, but the result is beautiful!

cjstewart415 04-18-2012 06:17 AM

It's very pretty.

feline fanatic 04-18-2012 06:58 AM

Wow, that is one GORGEOUS BOM. I love the fabrics but I am always a sucker for batiks. The blocks are intricate and very well done and best of all, not the same 'ol same 'ol. The sashing and setting do look like they were a royal PITA but oooh la la the results. This is one striking quilt and I can guarantee that only YOU notice the few points that may not line up exactly because from what I can see it looks bee-yooot-ee-full!

jamannix 04-19-2012 09:22 AM

I hope that your resentment of all the time spent doesn't ruin the quilt for you - it is GORGEOUS and does
reflect the time that you took. Congratulations - Judy Mannix

Nonna Judi 04-19-2012 02:25 PM

Frustrating but lovely. I am sure your sister will enjoy it!

Ritzquilts 04-19-2012 02:31 PM

She will love it and it's not sitting in a closet for you to look at each time and hating it more..lol,,,By the Way it's beautiful

cheri stonespinner 04-20-2012 06:02 PM

It's beautiful! She will love it! You have attatched your frustration in making it, to the quilt. I wish I could do half as good of a job!
