Time to get in Gear!

Here's a quilt I made for a challenge quilt - you had to buy a FQ bundle of 6 Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements and create a lap size or larger quilt. This is my entry. I leaned a little more to the steampunk side with gears and even a gear pano for the quilting. Thanks for looking!

I think the kitty is saying to someone,"get away, I'm busy appraising this quilt". The quilt is very pretty and different. Love the colors for the gears.

I don't understand Steam Punk, but I love everything about this quilt. Nice job!

I usually don't care for steam punk items, however I do like this masculine quilt.

I would say you met the challenge head on successfully. Wonderful interpretation! Love the gear quilting, which raised it another notch.

Your quilt is very pretty. It looks difficult. Was it? Great job

Great quilt! Love Tim Holtz fabrics and I'm a steampunk fan. Where did you get the quilt pattern from - hope it's digital.

Nice quilt and I love your quilting pattern.

WTxRed 08-02-2015 03:51 PM

Thanks everyone! This turned out to be a really fun challenge quilt.

annette1952 - difficult? only because I allowed it to be trying to get each block a unique collection of fabrics so no two groupings were duplicated. As to the pattern itself, piecing, no it wasn't difficult. But I enjoy making drunkard's path quilts too. Each of the finished blocks is 18".

Joyce888 - yes ma'am! Kim Diamond with Sweet Dreams Quilt Studio - this one is either Gear Pano 001 or Gear Pano 002. She has either digital or paper I believe.

Thanks again!

Great quilt and love the pano--thanks for sharing the source for pano. My son and DIL had a "steampunk" wedding and they would love this quilt! Hope you win this challenge-sure deserve it!
