Pretty blocks and a fun challenge for your group. It's your quilt so you can change out that green unit since it doesn't go with your vision.

I belong to two guilds and both have done something similar--'Tinners', 'Bag Ladies'... I will admit that I was thoroughly disappointed in 2 out of the 4 that I participated in. It seemed that most everybody's rulers did not measure 12 1/2 inches the same way. I think the one that frustrated me the most was an absolutely beautifully constructed Pineapple block--that measured a perfect 12 inches--unfinished.
That being said, the colours in your current tin are lovely and I love the blocks you contributed. The circle of geese is a favourite of mine. |

Love your top block on the left...thought it was flying geese at first glance, but it's not. What pattern did you use to make this block please?
The other block was more complicated simply because it used small pieces and finished around a center that had to be partially sewn and then finished. The pattern is called Interlocking Seasons Quilt block and can be found here https://www.handmadiya.com/2022/06/i...ilt-block.html |
Your blocks are beautiful. I have to agree with the other ladies, I’m not keen n the green but that’s a risk you take when you do one of theses kind of swaps. Yours are definitely keeper though 😆😆😆

Love the variety of blocks being made for your can boom.

I am so indecisive that an exchange like this would cause more anxiety than fun. I overthink.
Your blocks are fabulous. Green, not so much. |

Your blocks are fabulous. Green, not so much. What I am enjoying the most is trying out blocks that are too complicated for me to contemplate making an entire quilt from but fun if making just one. In most cases I test the pattern by making one with my own fabrics so in the end I'll have a bunch of orphan blocks. Hmm, just now thought that I should have been using fabric that coordinates rather than using fabrics similar to the colours in the tin can. |
