Tink's new quilt

Tinkerbelle, my Chihuahua, was in need of a new quilt. Her old one was getting a bit shabby...and besides it was 3 years old. So, as a belated Christmas gift I made a new simple quilt and a matching pillow case.
I am hopefully posting a picture of her trying it out for the first time.

Tink looks like she loves it. So cozey!

here's another one that shows it a bit better...

Oh, and a picture of her new custom fit snowsuit...don't you like the way she refused to face me? I think she was a bit mad about something....maybe the crummy weather.

So Sweet! what a good Mommy you are!!

DebraK 01-13-2012 09:04 PM

perhaps she doesn't care for the color combo of her jammies and the quilt. I kid ;-) I think she is just looking to cuddle under that handsome new quilt that Mommy was thoughtful enough to make for her ;-) Very nice.

Lucky little furgirl! How cute.

sewbeadit 01-14-2012 01:51 AM

She is so cute and so is the quilt!

Good for you and her! My dog likes to chew on quilts so she can get to the batting, which she eats. Obviously, Tinker is better behaved. The cat loves my quilts and treats them well.

She is a cutie and I love her new quilt and pillow. Maybe she isn't loving her snowsuit?

Caroline S 01-14-2012 06:56 AM

So cute! And Tinkerbell fabric also. Of course she loves it.

Lady Jane 01-14-2012 07:27 AM

How cute is that, she is adorable with her new quilt and pillow. Love her snowsuit. I make quilts for the Humane Society for the kitties and small dogs. The president of the Assoc in NH picks them up and she said "they love them" The quilts is cotton, fleece batting and flannel on the back and vary in sizes. I love making them.

I used some rather ugly polar fleece as batting...with flannel on both sides....need to keep my baby warm.

What a cute doggie. You are a good Mom!

Very cute. My Chihuahua is very tall and slender, with a deep chest and I couldn't get anything to fit her. I won't take the time to try to make a snowsuit for her, as she would chew it up. Same for a quilt, in 1-1/2 yrs I've had her she has pulled threads in about 8 bath towels, so bad I had to throw them away. She has separation issues, getting a bit better, not gone yet.

LAB55 01-14-2012 07:32 PM

She is very comfy looking in her quilt

Jammin' Jane 01-15-2012 12:11 PM

Love the colors....so bright and cheery!! Nice job! :)

I understand, Jingle...I have to use a Medium pattern and adjust the size to fit the barrel chest. It is Simplicity #3939. It has different views only 2 have long sleeves. By the way, I had to cut the neck twice to make it fit right.
Tink chewed alot of the tufts off a brand new bathroom rug...I came home to tufts of blue all over. We now only have a heavy rag rug in the bath.

Hi Susie,
Little Tink looks so happy in the first pic, the 2nd one...ehhhh not so much. Most Ladies are not that fond of showing her behind to the camera.... She is a brave little Chihuahua ! ! !

I have missed seeing You regularly. It is taking me sometime to get used to the new format here. I just need more time than I have available to learn it...I'll get there. Sooner or later .

Nana Coop 01-15-2012 06:15 PM

Tink is a lucky girl

Thanks Alice...I was trying for a frontal view...but she didn't want to cooperate! Time is something that I don't have...I really wish that we could figure out a way to chat like in the old days.
