Both are very very cute!

Your quilts are cute. I am sure they will be enjoyed and ooh'd over for years. I wish I had started quilting at 21, then maybe I wouldn't have to be in such a frenzy to make as many tops as possible before I go! lol

What a great idea to give the 'big sister' a special quilt... I just LOVE the second quilt, tho. So pretty it made it made me sigh! You are well on your way to being a great quilter.

Your quilts are beautiful, and I love the uncomplicated simplicity of them. The fabrics are gorgeous. You did a great job.

You're off to a great start - love the quilts.

Looks like you are on the right track, your quilts are really cute.

As a fellow "newbie" to the quilting world, couple pieces of advice #1. the Specialness from a quilt comes from the love you stitch into it as you make it. Has nothing whatsoever to do with experience, skill, fabrics or pattern. They are special because YOU took the time to put them together with love. ;) #2. Do NOT be afraid of complicated quilts, most are just squares, triangles and rectangles sewn together, you obviously can do that ;) So go for it! There are no rules! Sometimes a pattern looks complicated but is very easy once you get into it. Congrats on your degree as well. |
You have done a great job on both of those little quilts, and as far as lessons, there are a lot of classes and tutorials online. Youtube, Missouri Star Quilts, and more, just Bing it and you will get a long list

You are doing great work. It is so much fun to make quilts for babies. Nice to think of the big brother and sister too.

I like them both, you did a nice job!
