My first baby quilt AND my first time actually quilting (it's just in the ditch & straight outlines but at least I ventured out)! My niece is due next month and I made this for my first great nephew. I hope that it brings him years of comfort. The quilt is a variety of materials (cotton, flannel, and some sort of raised fuzzy soft stuff).
Unfortunately, the shower is in NY and it was just too pricey to fly for the shower and then again for his birth. So tomorrow, I hope my family finds a little piece of me in the room when she opens her gifts. And hopefully, I can make my Granny proud since she's the one who taught me to sew. She's 97 and will be there with my niece tomorrow...so excited about her first great-great grandson!
