I bought it as a kit but havent started it yet. Love the colors. Did you prewash? I usually dont but wasnt sure with the batiks.

beautiful! it's even more of a "work of heart", knowing that you didn't care for it. you did an amazing job--lucky sister!

Brilliantly done!

The blocks were very time consuming over 3 hours to cut and piece two blocks. The sashing between blocks was a nightmare. Then a week before Xmas when I decided to put borders on they took about 5 to 6 hours. I do like the end result, I just don't have time for time consuming as I'm usually working two jobs. But there are a couple blocks in there I would make a whole quilt out of and I would do sashing again now that I figured it out.

Yes I have a long-arm. But I do know someone who could do that on her sewing machine.
