tonight's sewing ... a comfort quilt block
1 Attachment(s)
A quilter from a camp I attend was recently diagnosed with cancer, so as quilters we decided to do what we do best - make her a healing and comforting quilt. Everyone was asked to make a 12" (finished) block using a white as the background and a rainbow of brights for the colors. Here's my contribution! It will be sent off tomorrow morning. (We were asked to sign our names, but for my privacy I've inked them out in the photo). I was trying to make Carol's Star (http://quilterscache.com/C/CarolsStarBlock.html) from Quilter's Cache, but had the hardest time paper piecing the corner blocks, so ended up just using plain white in the corners. Then I decided they were too plain, so I added some triangles.
