I took the snow days and used them as "sew" days. Got three baby quilts ready to go and learn something along the way...the blue patchwork quilt has fleece in the middle for batting and boy is that wonderful to use. I got fleece for 2.00/yd at walmart and tried it out. Fleece is so easy to use when quilting. It doesn't shift or bunch. And for that price i will be getting more :!:

Your quilts are adorable.

Adorable quilts, and glad to hear about the fleese for batting. I just did a lap quilt, no batting , but fleese as the backing, and I loved it. Seemed so easy to work with , no puckers and shifting. Have you ever tried sweatshirt fleese for batting or backing?

Yes they are. I used the zig zag on my machine to applique them, then put the blocks together. Thanks for the compliment!

Pretty! I especially love the last one! Maybe its the reds and yellows, or maybe the pinwheel pattern, but it reminds me of a warm summer day! (I wish it was a warm summer day today....but at least I have sunshine, that's an improvement :) )

Sweet! Great job!

We got over a foot of snow last night, but nothing except the schools stops for snow around here. I would love to have a couple of snow sew days.

When you say fleece are you talking about polar fleece?
