567 color and equal muslin plus the boarders and binding. I know I sound like an advertisement fo Accu Quilt Go but it only took about 40 to 45 minutes to cut everything & next to nothing of scrap trimmings to throw away. :-D[/quote]

I'm still himming and hawing about putting out that much money for the accuquilt. I keep checking different sites for the best price though, I do really want one........Beautiful quilt!!!

Wonderful Quilt - love those colors and pattern
I have the Accuquilt Studio and have been thinking of getting the triangle dies (one med and one large).
Did you cut a square or just go straight for the triangle die?
Thanks
Karen

I started out thinking I would just use the triangle just to test it and maybe make a 30x30 and I just kept going while I went through the tote.

Grinster 05-19-2010 06:47 AM

This is magnificent! I love all the colors and appreciate the work it took!!!

Thank you all very much.

It's funny I thought the same thing when I was asked how many there were and did the math but I started this a week ago and put about 23 hrs over the week and completed it. It goes together really quick. I had no pattern it was just fun a thing to do. One Nine patch block at a time.

Kellie G 05-19-2010 08:20 AM

Very, very nice quilt.

karensue 05-19-2010 08:22 AM

I'm so glad to hear you used the triangle die - now I feel that I would use it - will be ordering it this week (it's on sale).

They also have another die (12 on a die) to do a 1 inch square. Never done anything that small, but am thinking if I ever want to do a watercolor type quilt this might be a good die to get - only because it is on sale now.

I love it! I don't have an accu go but whenever I am making flying geese blocks, I save the extra pieces and they are sewn as half-square triangles in bags ready for something. Now that I haveseen your quilt, that would be a wonderful way to use them.
Congratulations - thanks for sharing!

We save it all from 2" on up and have made some interesting quilts from them. My wife made a tumblter that we gave to our son and his wife and they fell in love with it. Iwish the Go had a 3" Tumbler Die but they only have a 6.5". Thanks for the reply.

No just made the 3" squares from triangles sewed three in a row and three rows for each block then seven blocks in a row and sewed the into 9 rows. This really not as intricate as it may seem. Keeping attention on accurate 1/4 in seam allowance and alligning the blocks is all there is to it.

sylslight 05-20-2010 11:07 AM

OMG that is a Zillion little triangles!!!!! You are a heck of a lot more patient then I. I get frustrated aforter about 80 blocks, lol!
